Leaf and Yard Waste

The Township of Cavan Monaghan participates in the Leaf and Yard Waste Collection provided by the County of Peterborough.

2025 Fall Leaf and Brush Curbside Collection for Cavan, Millbrook and North Monaghan residents are now scheduled.

2025 Curbside Collection Weeks

Fall

  • Week of October 13 to October 17, 2025
  • Week of October 27 to October 31, 2025
  • Week of November 10 to November 14, 2025
  • Week of November 24 to November 28, 2025

Please Note:  A single collection will occur during each week listed above. Collection may occur on any day of the week!!

Please have brush bundled in 3-foot lengths, with each bundle weighing no more than 30 pounds, and leaves in paper leaf bags. Please have all material to the curb on Monday at 7:00 a.m. No Plastic Bags Please.  Yard waste in reusable bins will be accepted along with brown paper bags as long as there is no mixed garbage with it.  

If you have missed the Leaf and Yard Waste collection, you can drop off all year round at the Peterborough Waste Management Facility (1260 Bensfort Road, Peterborough), please see their website for applicable fees.
