Earth Day Rain Barrel

As part of the Earth Day event, Saturday April 18th, residents can purchase a high quality plastic barrel with a durable brass spigot, overflow valve with 5ft drainage hose, and a screw-top lid for only $50.00.  

Rain barrels can be purchased on the day of the event at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre.

Rain barrels collect and store rainwater for watering plants, reducing the need for municipal water.  Using rain water for outdoor tasks can reduce water bills, particularly in dry seasons or areas with metered water.  Rain barrels also reduce stormwater runoff, prevent pollutants from entering water bodies and reduce the strain on local drainage systems.

Please note: There is a 2 barrel limit per household.
