Development Charges By-law Approval

On Monday April 4, 2022 the Council of the Township of Cavan Monaghan held a public meeting, pursuant to Section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the Township’s proposed development charges, draft by-law and underlying background study.   All interested parties were invited to virtually attend the Public Meeting of Council and any person who attended the meeting opportunity to make representations relating to the draft by-law and background study.  All Council meetings remain available for Public virtual viewing on the Township of Cavan Monaghan YouTube channel.

On Tuesday August 2, 2022 the Council of the Township of Cavan Monaghan approved the 2022 Development Charges Background Study (Finance Report 2022-14) and By-law No. 2022-43.   The report and details are available under Section 12.2 Report for view/downloading at https://pub-cavanmonaghan.escribemeetings.com/Meeting.aspx?Id=0c313f64-8db9-4c88-ae18-db319e28dfd2&Agenda=Agenda&lang=English. 

Notice of Passing Development Charges By-law No. 2022-43

The Development Charges By-law, No. 2022-43, to establish development charges for the Corporation of the Township of Cavan Monaghan may be viewed online at  https://pub-cavanmonaghan.escribemeetings.com/filestream.ashx?DocumentId=4155.  A copy of the complete by-law is also available for examination at the Township of Cavan Monaghan Municipal Office, 988 County Road 10, Millbrook, ON, L0A 1G0 during regular business hours (weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) excluding statutory holidays.
