Off-Road Vehicles on County Roads Notice of Online Public Information Centre

off road vehicle

The County of Peterborough (County) is undertaking a review of Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) use on County roads.  Being completed in parallel with an update to the County’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP), the review will help identify opportunities to support safe ORV use.

Since commencement of this review in 2020, the study team has consulted with the public, First Nations, lower-tier municipalities, ORV and active transportation users, and other stakeholders, to identify potential concerns, needs and opportunities related to the use of ORVs on County roads. In addition, alternative approaches for ORV use on County roads have been developed.

As part of the ongoing consultation process, an online Public Information Centre (PIC) is being planned to present and gather your feedback on the alternative approaches to ORV use on County roads and next steps in the review process. Considering COVID-19 and physical distancing requirements, this PIC will be held online. This PIC will be available for your review and feedback on the study website at www.ptbocounty.ca/ORV on Thursday, September 9, 2021.  A recorded presentation will be offered as part of the online PIC until October 7, 2021.
