Notice of Public Meeting

The Township of Cavan Monaghan will hold two public meetings, pursuant to Section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the Township’s proposed development charges, draft by-law and underlying background study.  

All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting of Council and any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the draft by-law and background study.

In order that sufficient information is made available to the public, the Development Charges Background Study including the draft by-law will be made available online at the Township’s website www.cavanmonaghan.net  on June 8, 2026. Copies of the draft by-law and the background study will be available from the Township Clerk.

By-law passage is anticipated for September 8, 2026 at the Council meeting scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the above location.

Interested persons may express their comments at the Public Meeting or in writing, addressed to the Township Clerk at the above noted address or via email, prior to 9:00 a.m. on the date of the applicable Public Meeting.  All written submissions will be provided to Council at the meeting.
