Notice of Completion: Water Storage Municipal Class Environmental Assessment

The Township of Cavan Monaghan has completed a study for a new water storage solution in Millbrook under the framework of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Process, June 2000, as amended in 2024.

This Class EA followed the Schedule ‘B’ Municipal Class EA process as set out by the Municipal Engineers Association (October 2000 amended in 2007, 2011, 2015, 2023 and 2024). The study considered and evaluated possible locations and types of water storage solutions resulting in the identification of the preferred approach for water storage in Millbrook.

The identified preferred solution for new water storage in Millbrook is a new In-Ground Reservoir with a new Booster Pumping Station (BPS) at Location #3, across from the Township Municipal Office on County Road 10.

The planning and decision-making processes conducted through this study have been documented in the Project File Report. The report is available for review on the Township of Cavan Monaghan website starting on January 27th, 2026, the start of the 30-Day Review Period.
