Township Launches Accessibility Survey to Improve Community Communication

The Township is inviting residents to take part in a new Accessibility Survey aimed at improving how municipal news, information, service updates and emergency notifications are shared throughout the community.

The survey, which takes less than five minutes to complete, will help the Township better understand how residents access information, what communication barriers may exist, and what improvements can be made to ensure municipal information is clear, timely and accessible for everyone.

“The Township is always exploring and trying new ways to reach and share information with our residents, and, through this survey, we hope to learn about ways to more effectively do so” said Mayor Matthew Graham. 

Resident feedback will help guide future communication methods related to:

• Township news and announcements
• Programs and events
• Service disruptions and notices
• Emergency updates
• Accessibility of municipal information

The Township encourages all residents to participate, including seniors, families, business owners, persons with disabilities and those who may face challenges accessing municipal information.

The survey is available online at www.cavanmonaghan.net/AccessCM and paper copies are also available at the Municipal Office, at both library branches and the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre.
