Notice of Public Information Centre

The Township of Cavan Monaghan has identified a need to address capacity constraints at the existing Tupper Street Sanitary Pumping Station and associated sanitary sewer infrastructure to accommodate current and future wastewater servicing requirements within the community of Millbrook. The proposed project includes an expansion of the existing pumping station facility at its current location. A Class Environmental Assessment (EA) has been initiated to identify and evaluate alternatives and determine a preferred solution.

This project is being planned in accordance with the requirements for a Schedule “B” Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA). The class EA process includes consultation with the public and review agencies, an evaluation of viable alternatives solutions, an assessment of the impacts of the alternative solutions, identification of measures to mitigate any adverse impacts, and the selection of a preferred solution.

Public and external agency consultation is a key component of this Study. The Municipality is conducting a public information center on Wednesday September 9th, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This will be held at the Council Chambers at the Township of Cavan Monaghan’s main municipal office at 988 County Road 10, Millbrook, ON L0A 1G0. PIC materials will also be available for review online through the Township’s Engage platform, where interested parties will have the opportunity to submit comments and feedback on the project. We are interested in hearing any comments or concerns that you may have about this project. A public database of comments will be maintained and, except for personal information, included in the study documentation made available for public review.
