Yellow Air Quality Warning in Effect.

Please be advised that a Yellow Air Quality Warning is in Effect for the region.
Wildfire smoke is affecting air quality across Haliburton County, Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough, and surrounding areas. Poor air quality may persist into tonight.
Residents are encourgaged to limit time outdoors and consider reducing or rescheduling strenuous outdoor activities if you experience symptoms such as coughing, throat irritation, or headaches. Consult your primary care provider about how to protect your health.
Keep windows and doors closed as much as possible. Those at higher risk including older adults, young children, pregnant individuals, and people with chronic health conditions should take extra precautions.
Lakelands Public Health advises that when both heat and air quality warnings are in place, most people should prioritize keeping cool.

Dunlap Bridge Construction

Please be advised that the Ministry of Transportation is doing construction on the Dunlop Bridge over Jackson Creek until August 21, 2026.  Sherbrook Street West is closed (local traffic only) at Highway 7 to the west and Brealey Drive on the east.
