Fall Leaf & Yard Curbside Pick-up

The following is a list of 2026 Fall Leaf and Brush Curbside Collection for Cavan, Millbrook and North Monaghan residents:  

Week of October 12 to 16, 2026

Week of October 26 to 30, 2026

Week of November 9 to 13, 2026

Week of November 23 to 27, 2026

Please Note:  A single collection will occur during each week listed above. Collection may occur on any day of the week!!

Please have brush bundled in 3-foot lengths, with each bundle weighing no more than 30 pounds, and leaves in paper leaf bags. Please have all material to the curb on Monday at 7:00 a.m. 

No Plastic Bags 

Yard waste in reusable bins will be accepted along with brown paper bags as long as there is no mixed garbage with it.

Beach Volleyball Courts launched at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre

New outdoor beach volleyball courts mark the first serve in an exciting new chapter for recreation and community connection.

The Township of Cavan Monaghan, together with Hydro One are excited to announce the launch of new outdoor beach volleyball courts.  Their completion marks the first serve in an exciting new chapter for recreation and community connection. 

“We are very happy to see these volleyball courts become a new amenity for our community as we continue the recreational development of the CMCC lands,” said Mayor Matthew Graham. “I have to also thank Hydro One for their grant funding which allowed these courts to be built in our community so quickly.”

Hydro One’s $100,000 contribution supported the construction of the new courts and reflects the value of partnership in expanding local recreation opportunities and improving quality of life.

The Township will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and ceremonial “first serve” on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre to officially launch the courts and celebrate the community’s newest place to play. The annual Outdoor Movie Night will follow.
