Skating Schedule

Located at 4 Needler's Lane, Millbrook, the Community Centre consists of one refrigerated artificial ice surface slab that facilitates winter ice hockey, figure skating, and pleasure skating. 

The Township of Cavan Monaghan is committed to providing and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for all its employees, residents, visitors and stakeholders.  The Public Skating Policy provides guidelines for enforcement, clarity of permitted activities and practices that will ensure a pleasant experience for all.

2017-2018 Public Skating Times Commencing Monday September 25, 2017.

Public Skating is open to all ages.  Rate: $2.00 per person (HST included)

Tuesday     3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.                            

Thursday    3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.                           

Sunday       1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.    

Please be advised that there will be no public skating on February 25, 2018 or March 4, 2018 due to scheduled tournaments.     

March Break Public Skating: Daily beginning Monday, March 12 through Friday, March 16 1:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m.      

Adult  Exercise & Skating

A social skating program for adults 25+.                                                          

Tuesday       10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.                       

Thursday      10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.  

Adult Skating

Participants must be 19+.

Tuesday       11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Thursday     11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Puck & Stick Skating

Adult based program, use of pucks and sticks only. Must be 45+, no goalies on the ice during this time. CSA Approved Hockey Helmets are required.  

Monday            10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.                      

Wednesday      10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.                     

Friday               10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Adult Hockey

No contact scrimmage. Must be 25+. CSA Approved Hockey Helmets are required.

Monday              11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Wednesday       11:00 p.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Friday                11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

  1. The use of CSA Approved helmets designed for ice skating are strongly recommended, and are mandatory where indicated above.
  2. All participants must be wearing skates while on the ice surface.
  3. Flooding of the ice may occur 10 minutes before the end of the hour.  Please ensure that you vacate the ice at the request of the staff.
  4. Please not that any of the above times may be cancelled due to Holidays or Special Events.  Christmas and March Break Public Skating times may vary, please check the arena lobby bulletin boards for notices.

Note: The final date of public skating will be Sunday April 1, 2018.
